Accounts | Each bpConnect/Giving account must have a unique email address. If a couple shares an email address it works just fine to sign-in to both phones with the same account (i.e., email address.) |
Account Creation | If you “Create an Account” using the same name and email that bpChurch has on file your access should be established immediately and you’ll receive an email with your first password. If you use different information than bpChurch has on file it might take a few minutes, hours but not longer than a day to get the entry connected and for the email to be sent. Either way, you will be required to establish your own password after you first use the email code. If your account was established immediately, it might take a few minutes, hours but not more than a day for the Online Directory feature to appear. |
Check-in Today | On Sundays or other days when a group is meeting that involves someone in your family, you should find entries inside the blue “Check in Today” tool. Touch the name(s) of the attendees and touch “Submit” to save your selections. This is very helpful for church leaders and the Membership Team to have a record of activity. This can be done before, during or after the event, but only on that day. I usually do this during Sunday morning breakfast for example. |
Computer access? | Can I access bpConnect from my computer? Certainly! Go to https://bpchurch.churchtrac.com using your favorite browser software. Everything works the same as on phones, etc. but the display is not just vertical. |
Is this an app? | Yes, from a certain point of view. And no. In form and function, it is. It has many flexible, interactive and powerful tools that enhance two-way communication and administrative functions throughout the church body. As many church apps in the app stores are basically just a mini version of their church website, bpConnect is quite different and a more useful tool. But from a computer programming perspective, it is not an app as it’s not in the app stores. However, our app will never be removed by the large tech corporations. So, is it an app? |
The Connection Card | This is the digital duplicate of the white cards in the pews with the exception that this area is not intended for prayer requests. |
My Giving History | A listing of your family’s total giving both online and in-person for the current year. Giving statements are also available. 2023 Note: Giving records for the “Servant Keeper” months will be added to ChurchTrac in July, 2023. |
Let’s Connect | This area is intended for people interested in getting involved with bpChurch to send in their contact and family information for the first time. So, if your data isn’t in our database at all, use this tool! If you want to edit your information use the “My Profile” area in the menu or send an email to UpdateMyProfile@bpchurch.com |
My Profile | A place to keep your information at bpChurch updated. You can also add a picture of your family and/or individual pictures if you would like to share them in the Online Directory. If you delete items entirely, then the church does not have that information at all. Control of whether any of these items is shared is entirely up to the account holder. By default, they are not shared. These controls are at the top of the Online Directory. |
Not Signed In | Many features of bpConnect are available even if not signed in including Prayer Requests, Looking to Connect, Weekly Announcements, Worship Video and other informational items. |
Online Directory | By default, nothing about your family is shared with anyone in the Online Directory. To share, first slide the “Include my family in this list….” button to the right. That will share your name only. Now touch the link “Manage what information I share with others…” and select the informational items and/or family members you would like to share here. These items will only be shared with people in groups that you are in plus the pastors and a small number of church leaders. |
Online Giving | Both bpConnect and the “Give Online” section of the bpchurch.com website use exactly the same giving tool in the same manner. If you add a “Payment Method” to either location it will appear in both. Both locations require a “Sign In” before giving so that gifts are automatically assigned to the correct giving record.
Giving can be done in three ways: 1. In bpConnect access the upper-left 3-line menu and then “Online Giving” 2. On the bpChurch.com website access Give and then “Give Online” 3. Text2Give (see below)
At least one “Payment Method” must be established. · A bank, or ACH payment method requires the routing and account numbers from a checking account. There is a simple process to verify the account before it will be active. The convenience fee for ACH gifts is a flat $0.25 for any size gift. bpChurch can provide an information sheet regarding ACH payment methods. · A credit card payment method can be established almost immediately. The convenience fee is 2.2% of the gift plus a flat $0.30.

Prayer Requests | The Prayer Request box is the quickest and most direct method to share prayer request with the pastors and if desired the entire church prayer chain. The box to type in will handle about 2 paragraphs of information. |
Special Event Registration | bpChurch will be doing online registration in bpConnect for men’s and women’s events like retreats, Christmas Jazz, bpAcademy classes, etc. |
Sign In | Some parts of bpConnect are only available when signed in, including the blue “Check in Today” participation tool and the entire 3 line “hamburger” menu, including Online Giving, My Profile, Upcoming Events and more. |
Text2Give | Once your account is established, access one of the 2 giving areas and establish a credit card payment method. ACH payment methods do not work for Text2Give. Then to the right of “Choose a Payment Source” click/touch the “gear” to begin the setup process for Text2Give. You will enter your mobile number and there will be easy, quick steps to authorize a Credit Card for Text2Give. Once these steps are completed, you can just send a text to the church 855.. number with “Give $xx.xx”, a response will be sent to you confirming this gift and if you text “Yes” it will be complete. Very easy. Just don’t let your grandkids play with your phone! |
Texting | bpChurch will not send you texts unless you have chosen to receive them. You have to “opt in” first. The directions to do this are in the Weekly Announcements section at the top. Church leadership will determine how we will be using text messages going forward. |
Videos | There are currently two ways to access bpChurch videos. The first “video box” displays the livestreams at 9:15 am and 11:00 am each Sunday. When the 11:00 service is over, the livestream is saved there and is available until the following Sunday.
Below the “video box” is a box that links to the bpChurch YouTube channel. Almost all of the videos posted by the church are available there. |
